My favourite luxury resort in Bahamas

Choosing a hotel to stay in the Bahamas can be an overwhelming task, given the sheer abundance of options spread across its numerous islands. Planning a dream vacation requires careful consideration of factors like location, amenities, and proximity to attractions and restaurants. The Bahamas, with its 700 islands and an array of hotels, posed a delightful yet challenging endeavor.

First and foremost, I sought a location that offered easy access to both popular attractions and a vibrant dining and cultural scene. With so many islands to choose from, narrowing down the options was no easy feat. The goal was to strike a perfect balance between tranquility and adventure. I wanted to explore the wonders of the islands and indulge in different cuisines without hassle.

I knew that I wanted a more luxurious experience. Moreover, I didn’t want to spend a lot of time and take additional flights to reach the hotel (considering that I was flying out from Europe). In the end, I decided to select one of the luxury resorts in Bahamas located in Nassau or Paradise Island.

After meticulous research, The Ocean Club, a Four Seasons Resort, caught my attention. Located on the picturesque Paradise Island, it met my criteria in every aspect. The resort’s charm and lush tropical surroundings promised a serene escape. Moreover, its proximity to attractions, such as the Atlantis resort and historic Nassau, appealed to my desire for exploration.

My favorite luxury resort in Bahamas: The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort
Why: Ideally located close to Nassau and The Atlantis resort, away from the noise, with luxurious modern rooms
What I liked: the beachfront views of the ocean, the gardens and the private white-sand beach

Luxury Resorts in Bahamas

All-inclusive resorts in Nassau Bahamas

Nassau is the capital of the Bahamas and the largest city in the country with about 70% of the population living there. Known for its stunning beaches and vibrant culture, Nassau is the gateway to the Bahamas as most international flights land there. It’s also right next to the famous Paradise Island that can be easily reached by car. Thus, you can stay in Nassay and enjoy the world-famous The Atlantis resort in Bahamas on Paradise Island.

The city is often recommended as a place for cheaper hotels, but it also boasts some high-end all-inclusive resorts in Nassau Bahamas. There may not be many, but there are some luxury resorts in Bahamas in Nassau that are definitely worth staying at. Moreover, you can find a lot of authentic local restaurants and interesting museums on the island.

One of the best places to explore the history of the Bahamas and its culture is its capital. Visit the famous Queen’s Staircase that was carved in stone by slaves in the 18th century. Or maybe Fort Montagu – a limestone fort from the 18th century that has great views of Paradise Island. But my favorite one is the Pirates of Nassau museum. It showcases the history of Bahamas as a pirate base and has a replica ship in which you can enter and feel like a real pirate.

If you want to see more activities and excursions in Nassau, make sure to read my post on things to do in Nassau, Bahamas for an unforgettable vacation in Bahamas.

However, I’d guess that the main reason you want to go to luxury resorts in Bahamas and spend your holiday here are the beaches. Although Nassau is a residential and busy city, it has its share of beaches worth visiting. Most sandy beaches are along the northern coast and the one I recommend visiting is Cable beach.

Sandals Royal Bahamian All Inclusive – Couples Only

One of the best all-inclusive resorts in Nassau, Bahamas and the only one in my opinion that’s worth staying at is Sandals Royal Bahamian. It’s ideally located right on Cable beach and has a private section only for the hotel’s guests. And if you are not into beaches and salt water, there are 2 large pools at your disposal.

But what’s even cooler is that this all-inclusive resort in Nassay has a private island! You can take a ferry or kayak and in a few minutes enjoy the 2 secluded beaches on the island (one of which is the best snorkeling place on the Bahamas). On the island itself there’s a private beach club with pool, bar, seafood restaurant, overwater hammocks and Zen garden with firepit seating. And it’s all included in your room price!

The rooms are modern and luxurious and many of them offer fantastic views of the ocean. There are 11 restaurants on site serving all kinds of cuisine and everything is included in your room rate (wine and rum also). The 11 bars at this all-inclusive resort in Nassau, Bahamas serve unlimited premium spirits.

Other than that, the resort has all kinds of activities to fill your time. From water sport equipment, beach volleyball and basketball to croquet, modern gym and board games. The all-inclusive experience also includes free airport transfers and wi-fi throughout the resort. There’s also a spa center that can be used at an additional cost.

Margaritaville Beach Resort

This 4-star resort is not among the all-inclusive resorts in Nassau, Bahamas, but it’s worth checking it out. It has a prime oceanfront location, right in front of a white-sand beach and steps away from downtown Nassau. One of the city’s marinas as well as the cruise ship harbor are stone throw away. As a result, you’ll be ably to easily explore all the city’s main attractions, museums and restaurants.

Margaritaville Beach Resort has 2 types of accommodations. The first one is their Residence rooms that offer the home away from home feeling. These apartment-style rooms have fully equipped kitchens, living space and some can accommodate up to 10 people. The other type of rooms are spacious, hotel-style rooms. Most of the residences and rooms reveal gorgeous views of the Caribbean sea.

There are multiple restaurants, bars and cafes/bakeries at the resort offering all kinds of cuisine. The resort also has a water park with water slides, pools, a 10 foot dive board and more. Kids can use the Kid’s club and have fun & games there.

Grand Hyatt Baha Mar

This luxury resort boasts a myriad of unique features that set it apart from other hotels. It’s situated right on Cable beach with 15 lush beachfront acres of state of the art waterpark between the hotel and the beach. There’s plenty of rooms that can accommodate couples or the whole family. All of the rooms have floor to ceiling windows with breathtaking views.

Grand Hyatt Baha Mar may not be among the all-inclusive resorts in Nassau Bahamas, but it sure has a lot to offer in the room rate. Then there’s the largest casino in the Caribbean with oceanfront halls and over 1000 slot machines and 119 tables.
